A new day, A new beginning

Today was an incredible day for all Americans. I must admit that my TV was tuned to all the ABC News coverage of the Inauguration. Just in awe of the events of the day, the change in our history books. In my lifetime, I've seen the first space shuttle launch and the first shuttle explosion, the Berlin wall is no more, who can forget Bill Clinton stating that he did not have "Relations" with that woman and of late, we have watched the finance industry and large corporations, ruin our economy. Within the last 200 years or so, Women were not able to vote and if your skin was black, you were considered a slave. Since then, Women won the right to vote, slaves were freed and the Civil Rights movement has come full circle. Now, it's time to start a new beginning. Time for our country to focus on what is important... The American People and the Values this county was founded upon.

I must admit that I was a little sad to see Barack Obama win the nomination, since I always hoped that the first African American President would be General Colin Powell. But hey, in the end - the right man won the job. Whether I agree with the Republicans or the Democrats, is irreverent. We are once again, even if just for a day, united and full of hope, that this great country will soon be one again.

New Monogrammed Headbands

I have just completed a new headband design. These are fabulous! This set was made for my youngest sister. I monogrammed her name on one side with plain ribbon on the inside. This ribbon headband is reversible. Yes! Can you believe it - you get two for the price of one!. It is super simple - just rotate the ribbon around the headband, to show the other side and you have a whole new look! I LOVE this one!

Sorry, I've been away

Time flies, when you're preparing for the Holidays. Then my GrandFather was not doing well in the hospital. He was able to go home on the 23rd, but he did pass away on Christmas Eve and memories of losing my Father 3 years ago came flooding back.

The last few days have been quite sad and reflective. So, everyone kiss your children, love your spouse, thank your parents and pray for forgiveness. Our time here is always too short.

I will return to creating and designing in a few days...

Where have I been?

Wow - how time flies when I'm creating.. Oh, wait - this is the holidays and there is just too much happening at once!! So, we finally finished the Christmas cards - those only took 2 days of photo moments. Ugh, but they are done and hopefully will arrive tomorrow. YEAH.

So - you're wondering what I've been up to? (Shhhh....it's a secret). Ok, no - not really. I have made a few headbands and dropped 35 of them off to a hair salon in Tomball, Texas. So, if you are in or near Tomball - visit The Cutting Co. and see what is there. Here's my latest favorite - Red with Zebra!! LOVE IT!!!!

New Bag

My new little bag... How cute is this?? This bag is just my "tester/sample", so I will create a few more before placing on the website for ordering. But, if you like the style, let me know.

This bag measures approximately 11 inches wide and 8 inches tall, with optional pocket(s), the handles are made so that one slides into the other, for closing the bag and carrying. Embroidery/Monogramming will also be offered for this bag. Fabric is 100% cotton, with cotton or fleece interfacing. It's just too cute!!

Wristlet Key Fobs **NEW**

We now have Wristlet Key Fobs listed. Yes, there is only one showing now, but many MANY more to come!! These are too neat and the Princess Wristlet is the one I created for myself. It's great, I just put my keys around my wrist and run a quick errand, plus they are super easy to find in my purse. I hope to have many more added soon, also - let me know if you would like to a custom design. I love to create new designs!! The Wristlets can be made smaller or larger.
