A moment of Thanks to The Little Gym of Katy

On Sunday, April 5th, the Little Gym of Katy held an Open House for Katy area residents. They also invited area vendors to exhibit during the open house. I was SO excited to be included for this event!! The attendance was wonderful... plus, so exciting to see those little munchkins having such a great time! I just love the program Little Gym of Katy provides. With the weight issues we face now - Little Gym of Katy gives early lessons to the children on how important physical activity is in our lives.

A much needed weekend get-away...

Living just west of Houston, I often forget how much I love the Texas Hill Country. Thanks to our 5th Grader's performance at Sea World in San Antonio, we were able to have a wonderful weekend with the family.

On Saturday, we drove with our daughter and in-law's to watch the Kilpatrick Elementary 5th Grade Choir, sing at Sea World. They were just so great!! But you could tell - each of those kids were just itchin' to finish singing and run into Sea World. After a simple dinner, we headed back to the hotel for a quiet evening.

Sunday morning, we ate breakfast and headed out to the Natural Bridge Caverns in New Braunfels. After digging for gemstones and driving through the Wilderness Part, the family headed over to Gruene, for a bit of wine tasting and a late lunch at the Gristmill. Oh - I just LOVE the beauty Texas has to offer!!

Spring Fling Show

Here's a couple of photos from the Spring Fling Show at the Merrill Center in Katy, Texas. The show was our first official debut with this set up. So - there were a few lessons learned and a little bit of tweaking needing on the set up. But hey.. It's a start.!

I finally sat down yesterday and made a few Pony Cuffs and WOW.. How much fun are these!!! I just love them!! More creative ideas with Ribbon! YEAH!

I know, I know ~ now you're asking.. When will they be posted to the website for purchase??? Well, this week, I am focusing all my time on orders and stock for this weekend's craft show. So, when life returns to normal next week, I will post more products - including the Pony Cuffs.

Are you asking - what is a Pony Cuff??? It's fabulous and adds to much class to a simple pony tail. Basically - it is a cuff that covers your Pony O, when you've styled your hair with a pony tail. Unfortunately, I just had about 5 inches cut off my hair last week - so, I'm not able to display these. So, if you feel like modeling for a photo, just send me a comment! :)

But of course - there are still a few items up my sleeves that I am working on.. so - stay tuned!!!!

I am SO excited ~ and have taken the plunge! April Michelle Designs has signed up for TWO Craft Shows in March. I would love to see you there!!!! There will be many designs on display, that are not currently showing on the site, not to mention the show specials.

Happy Belated Valentine's Day

I hope everyone had a super Happy Valentine's Day!!

I must admit that I am one of the few that really don't over celebrate this holiday. My wonderful husband is simply fabulous and we will generally do something simple for Valentine's Day.. Flowers, candy or chocolate covered strawberries. Since our anniversary is in a month, so I'd rather save the celebrating for this day.

Why limit special days and affections to just one day per year?? I strive daily to show love to my family. Although, some days are more difficult than others... I see so many couples use Valentine's Day as an excuse to 'be nice' to each other. So - I say - why? what is wrong with the other 364 days?? Love your family everyday, as if each day was Valentine's Day... and you will never end the day with regrets.
